Cordova Dragway’s 2025 rendition of a special large-scale event for high school drag racing enthusiasts will be hosted on Saturday, May 24. What makes this event so awesome for high schoolers to kick off another summer? How about Individual Bracket Racing with any car, from hot rods to family sedans. Plus, a burnout contest, Teacher Call-Outs to race your favorite teacher, a Team Points Competition tallied by each high school represented, and Individual Racing Awards.

THE FIRST BIG RACE OF 2025 – The SPRING IGNITOR

Sneaking up on us on April 26th, 2024 – The Cordova Dragway SPRING IGNITOR will kick off the competition and provide continued sorting out of your hot rods before points racing and bigger events arrive. CORDOVA COLLEGE – Helping would be racers get into the sport.

If you or someone you know would love to try drag racing, CORDOVA COLLEGE is the perfect way to ease into the sport. Dan Crownhart said, “I have met people who want to learn how to bracket race, but the process of navigating the staging lanes, water box, and everything from the starting line to picking up their timing slip intimidates them. Cordova Dragway is currently looking for enthusiastic and responsible individuals for the many track positions around the facility on race days.
