JUNIOR DRAGSTER SET FOR THE SUMMER NATIONALS JUNE 13 & 14

Junior Drag Racing competitors will once again be a standout feature at the 2024 Summer Nationals, as they will be competing right alongside Jets, Funny Cars, and more. The Friday night Junior Dragster program will feature 31 qualifiers plus the “boss’s daughter,” Taylor Crownhart, competing in a special shootout race! On Saturday, there will also be an all-run Junior Dragster class where you will see the junior racers right beside the funny car racers in the Cordova Dragway staging lanes. CORDOVA DRAGWAY AND THE WDRA INTRODUCE OFFICIAL SANCTIONED TEEN RACING!

Teens aged 13 to 17 can learn the basics of drag racing and compete against other drivers of their age and skill level in a controlled, supervised environment without needing to spend money on purpose-built drag racing vehicles. TOGETHER AGAIN! MAY MIDNIGHT MAYHEM AND BATTLE OF THE HIGH SCHOOLS

On Friday night of May 23rd, rally your friends and rivals! Discover who owns the most formidable street car. Midnight Mayhem, exclusively for street-legal cars and trucks with DOT tires and mufflers, promises a night filled with unique events. Burnout Contests, ‘Top the Cops’ challenge, Db Sound Drags, dragstrip ‘callout’ style grudge racing throughout the night. This is the first of THREE Mayhem events in 2025,

On Saturday, May 24th. Cordova Dragway will roll out the red carpet for the Battle of the High Schools. High school racers compete for individual racing awards, a burnout contest, and grudge-style “callouts” between racers and your favorite teacher. The mainstay for the High School racers is the all-run bracket racing program, where you will race for individual awards plus a points tally/ where competitors will represent their high school in a team points competition.

THE TRIPLE 7s ARE COMING – – WITH A TWIST!

What makes 2025 interesting is that Saturday for both their May and September events will payout $14,000 to the winner, with each day before and after paying $7,000 to win.
